Plentzia boasts a variety of restaurants (jatetxe in Basque) offering sumptuous meals. But if you prefer some tapas (or "pintxos") in a festive atmosphere, don't miss the Idiazabal cheese competition and the Mycology Fair, held in August and November respectively.

Cheese Competition: Walkabout with "trikitixas", Idiazabal cheese contest and a competition of dishes made using Idiazabal cheese.

Mycology Fair: Exhibition of fungi and tasting sessions of tapas made with mushrooms.
